Rainbow & Tiaras Cuppies

April has been a busy & (a bit) tiring month. But I think it was well worth it. I hope I'll be able to get just a little bit of rest in May before my trip in June. Otherwise I'll be so haggard then.

Nur requested for a set of cupcakes with rainbow & tiaras. Besides that she would love to put a birthday greeting for the birthday girl.

I was a bit unsure of how my rainbow would turn out on my little cuppies and surprised that it turned out quite well when I was done.

I hope Fitri will have a colourful birthday along with these cuppies.

First month baby girl cuppies

Yet another girly affair for me this week, as Nur has requested for a 1st month baby girl cuppies for her friend.

She requested that tiaras to be included again for these ones.

Dinner @ Charco's

Managed to stay up till the wee hours yesterday to finish up the request of 60 cups of Chocolate Mousse. It was requested by my SIL Zana on behalf of her friend, who is holding a majlis cukur rambut today.

Initially I thought of popping into the office today but after completing the Chocolate Mousse, I don't think I have the energy. Even coffee didn't help.

In the evening, had a family dinner at Charco's in Ang Mo Kio, in conjunction with mum's birthday (which is tomorrow). It's Western Australia owned and what's best is that it's HALAL. And they've got ribs!

Besides that they also serve their Charco's Chicken, Portuguese Chicken, Hot Plates (1/4 meal), Schnitzels, Slimmer's Meal (a main + 3 salads of your choice), Briyani Meals (I'm surprised they serve this), Kebabs, Burgers, Wraps and of course their family & kids meal.

I had the Ribs Creme Meal and simply love the creamy potatoes served at the side. And their salad bar.... 8 different types of salads - Caesar, Coleslaw, Seafood (my favourite), Tuna Pasta, Egg, Greek, Potato & Chicken Avocado.

For price, I thnk it's value for money really. You get good food at very good price. What more can you ask for. And if you think this is a restaurant, you're wrong. It's located within a coffee-shop in the housing estate. So there is no service tax (winkz!).

I've been wanting to eat at this place for a while but didn't get the chance to. So since my mum's birthday is tomorrow & she will be going on a cruise for 3 nights, I thought we have an early celebration with the family.

So give it a try. If the opportunity arises, I will come back to this place.

Brownies & Cuppies

This month will be a very busy month for me. I hope I will be able to cope my schedule really well, as appointments are tight.

This week, Nur has requested for 36pcs nut-filled Brownie Platter. This is the first time she's requested for brownies. The brownies are topped with colourful candies.

Besides the Brownie Platter, Nur has also requested for Double Chocolate Cupcakes for her niece's 7th birthday. The theme - Tiaras.

I hope Nur & family, especially her niece, will enjoy all these goodies for the weekend.

Mango Cheesecake

Been wanting to update but I haven't been making anything special to post, so the delay. Been more online on Facebook instead.

So today I'm boosted with a little extra energy, which I find it rather surprising as I slept late last night & was shockedly awaken by a loud thud early in the morning. The thud came from my littlest, who fell backwards after being pushed by his love-hate-relationship brother over playing the tricycle. Hmmm... boys will be boys.... It was fortunate that nothing serious happened from the fall.

Had my usual shot of caffeine and then off to baking. Prepared the ingredients for a Brownie Platter, which was requested by Nur.

Then off to make Mango Cheesecake. I was contemplating on whether to make it as a whole or in cups. Then discovered that I didn't have enough ingredients to make the base. So decided to make it square instead. While waiting for the cheesecake to set, I have no idea to cook. Can't decide whether I should order or cook. In the end, it's Mee Rebus for today.

When the cheesecake was ready, I'm surprised that it turned out so well in the square pan, despite I'm a little short in the ingredients department.
Whatever it is, everyone enjoyed it. It's all that matters : )
